STRIPED CARE: With their brainchild Sunnei turning 10 this year and their latest runway show ironically dubbed “10 years feels like 100,” Simone Rizzo and Loris Messina must have thought it was time for a little self care.
No drastic antiaging intervention in sight, though. The duo has tiptoed into the beauty category by quietly launching a limited-edition capsule collection developed with Barcelona-based hair and body care label Mid/night 00.00.
The focused line dropped on Thursday included four items seen as essentials to carry around and use throughout the day. Coming in compact formats and with simple Italian names, the range comprised the Burrocacao lip balm; the Profumo Solido solid perfume blending amber with fig notes in a nod to the scent of Sunnei’s headquarters in Milan; the Crema Mani hand cream scented with a mix of bergamot, pine and rosemary, and the Acqua Viso hydrating light mist, designed to refresh complexion and leave a fragrance of figs, mandarin and lemongrass on the skin.

All formulations are vegan and plant-based, containing more than 90 percent of natural ingredients, in sync with the approach of Mid/night 00.00, and wrapped in colorful packaging reprising Sunnei’s signature stripes.
Priced between 24 euros for the lip balm to 44 euros for the solid perfume, the collection is available at both brands’ online stores. To enhance the shopping experience, the companies will provide customers purchasing the entire kit with a special card featuring NFT technology. This will grant access to extra video contents offering beauty tips to make the most of each product.
Mid/night 00.00 was founded by Nina Urgell and Marc Ciudad with the goal to optimize beauty routines by focusing on fewer, high-performance products to save time and effort. Since its launch in 2019, the brand gradually gained international recognition for its minimalist approach, natural formulations and simple packaging. In addition to hair care and body care, the brand also offers fragrances produced in small batches near Grasse, France.
The tie-up with Mid/night 00.00 is not the only one marking Sunnei’s 10th anniversary. The brand collaborated with fellow Spanish company Camper, launching the inventive Forone sneaker style in June, a single-laced shoe with no left or right, purchasable individually and available in five colorways to form a matching or mismatched pair. A second chapter of the partnership was unveiled last month during Sunnei’s spring 2025 show, with a new sneaker design marked by bold colorblocking in both its mesh upper and chunky rubber sole.
