Paloma Wool’s spring 2025 show was like a fun gathering of sirens. Models came out with a wet hairdo, donning barely there looks in drippy, tactile fabrics with elements of beads, seashells and fringes dangling around the body.
In addition to her more recognized sheer dresses and tactile knits, the designer offered what can be described as illusion pieces — a cardigan repurposed as a sheer wool dress, tops with pulled-down straps and body-con cocktail numbers assembled with four T-shirts.
There was also an emphasis on experimental textures and fabric combinations, with sculptural, crinkled looks made from memory fabric being examples.
Then came an ASMR performance led by artist Carlota Guerrero. She led a team of five models on an elevated podium — interacting with cameras while generating sounds with their clothes captured by hanging microphones — giving a nostalgic webcam experience from the early 2000s vibe.
